Gannon, that sort of gives me the picture that mine would be set up the same as you described, so it should be ok with the hoses. Thanks.

My ECU mainboard has about 3 (I think) small boards spaced fairly evenly across the whole board. Look a little like memory boards in PC's.
The other thing I noticed is an empty socket in one corner (bottom left if looking at it mounted with cover off) Maybe thats for the knock sensor plug in or something?
I noticed the power transistors as you mention had some white corrosion marks against the alloy casing (heatsink). Sprayed with contact cleaner - only those spots, made no difference.

The white stuff is heatsink compound, a paste that conducts heat very well, to stop the transistor from overheating.

Can you get a pic of the ecu boards, i will take some pics of mine and we can compare them.

Im interested in what these mite be
