More so the L series, how does the chassis take it? What would I expect to bend/break in a 13s 1/4.
keen to hear tales of twisted diff hangers or worse...

I have a stock MY coupe that although it has never backed it up on the strip is definitely in low 13's territory.
Never had a single problem with the chassis. Actually nothing apart from rear axles and the clutch has had a rough time with the horsepower.

Where the top chassis rail meets the front windscreen is a definite weak area - everything foward of the windscreen likes to flex away from the body! (the factory RX rallycars had some fairly seroius plating in this area).
Seam welding the front strut towers and lower & upper chassis rails is a good idea. Plating &/or triangulating the top rail back to the body is a better idea!

Now I find out AFTER I've had the engine bay painted....
Would've been perfect time to have it welded.

Thanks guys,
Have seamwelded most of the frontend, have added reinforcing plates around mention areas, triangulated peice between the top rail and the body done. Not sure if it my imagination but it feels heaps tighter (shake test, highly accurate...)
Was checking if there was anything else that should be taken care of when its a bare shell, havent touched the back yet, worth worring about?
