I know the subject been covered before but has anyone been up to kingfisher bay and/or Frazer Island lately???
What are the condition of the tracks???
Can a standard unlifted L series subie make it to Kingfisher without any dramas????
Thinking of doing the tourist trip:- central station Lake mackenzie eelie creek and the champagne pools but staying over at the resort.
Ive been before but only by a rushed day trip (and I had a v6 Jackaroo then)
This time i want to actually enjoy the experience at a far more leisurely pace!

I was up there 2 weeks ago travelling alone in my liberty. I hadnt been there before in my car, and was a little apprehensive about travelling alone, but i found it dead easy. There were a couple of rough spots on the inland tracks that an unlifted car might have trouble on, but nothing you wont get through if you use some common sense. We stayed at kingfisher and the fishing / crabbing was amazing, make sure you take your gear.
I did freshwater track and took the beach to tewantin on the way home, and the 1st beach exit was probably the only part of the whole trip i would consider "hard". It was teh softest i had ever seen it, i guess the easter traffic had taken its toll
