Why not eBay US? This would be the simplest way in my opinion. I purchase all my inner tie rods (or rack ends) form the US as they are practically not existent in Australia.

You just need to find a seller who is willing to ship to Australia (and make sure it is correct for the non-powered or powered L series rack - I think they are different)

Another option is RockAuto. Prices will most likely be more expensive than eBay however.

Yeah the U.S. seems like the way to go. The earlier post on the part number of the US site looked great... but unfortunately that one wouldn't ship outside the U.S.

I hadn't heard of Rock Auto, I'll give that a go.

Cheers,
Dave

You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Damn, I already placed an order with RockAuto... that one is a fair bit cheaper. I'll let everyone know what the delivery turn around time is when I get them. It's a good time to buy stuff from the US with our exchange rate.

Yeah, I didn't think anything heavy/bulky would be worth sending via international mail... but I stand corrected, you can save a fortune!

No wonder retailers in Oz are getting nervous.

The gist of your exercise seems to be you got no result in your attempts to buy local - no listing, no tips on where to go to buy until you come in here, get some links etc and six days later without moving much muscle it is here. Need to move less muscle to pay for it too - that is what Mr Harvey has not conveyed in the interviews I have seen or heard
