Post by Gannon » Mon May 01, 2006 6:16 pm

I have a brown interoir and no carpet, but i have never seen another subaru with vinly floors, they have all been carpet.

All i want to know is,.. how rare is vinyl?

Yeah I agree - fairly common. I think DL cars were vinyl standard

Mine is sporting blue vinyl. I prefer vinyl floor rather than carpet anyways.

My old wagon was vinyl, before I ripped it out, then it was bare metal :)

The sedan is also bare metal, no idea what it was before :)

i have glamourous brown vinyl also in the L - easy to clean but its a bit ripped.
ps watch out for moisture/rust holes under the vinyl in the footwells - cost me $400 to weld a plate over it

WOW i never realised that they were that common, there goes my sales angle... "easy to clean vinyl interior" :(

Come to think of it, my interior is grey.

Yeah i've got a grey interior too-i've never seen another car with it apart from one on ebay. I much prefer it over the blue and especially the brown 8O and vinyl is definitely easier to clean & repair

They dont have to be red to have a grey interior... Mines a beige-yellow colour and it has a grey interior + grey vinyl floors. It is a later model at 89 though. Grey is even rarer in L's than MY's i am lead to believe by the wreckers at Beerwah in QLD.

fair enough. I though mine was the odd one out due to it being a import.
