Subaru Numberpad Alarm

iv worked of a few Sti/WRX in ma workshop with the Numberpad Alarms i was wondering if u can Buy the Alarm/Numberpad type for a Later Model .. and if so how easy/Deficult are they to hook up ?

The factory Brant system ( http://www.brant.com.au/ ) are still available but if you search the WRX forums you see that most people remove them as they are more trouble than they are worth.

2 of the most common problems are the system just switching off whilst the car is running (one case the guy was driving 100kph on a freeway) and the other is the unit failing to recognize the PIN code, causing the car not able to be started.

okays wow !!! have they done anything to correct these faults ? in the system ? or is it computer fault ?

I'm not sure abut their R&D work but maybe search google for issues with the Brant system and narrow the searth to results less than 1 year old.
