subaru liberty gt audio and gauges,

hi ive just bought a 2005 liberty gt and am wondering why when i turn up the stock mcintosh stereo it sometimes goes quiet for a few seconds then loud then soft again, also am wondernig if its possible to change the dash lights colour, i know that it was possible on my 1999 WRX and am wanting to do the same on the liberty thanks -

also wondering what sort of modifications people have been doing like exhaust etc and what sort of kw in the liberty? im thinking of doin fmic 3" catback exhaust, unequal headers (to keep the boxer sound ) and bigger injectors fuel pump, no bigger turbo as of yet. what else ?

woot another Gen 4 owner

. i have no idea about the headunit, mine has never done it before.

changing the dash lights are a MISSION i've been told. not as simple as changing bulbs.. but feel free to prove them wrong haha i've seen the red changed to blue.. LOOKED WICKED

the unequal length headers will cause a loss of power, an exhaust will have to be custom as no one around sells the dump pipe for the 05

there is a few who sell cat backs but $$$

jump on ClubLiberty.asn there a GEN 4 specific forum with some really nice cars.

im running an STI ECU Tuned by STI and im making 170kwatw and thats everything else relatively stock.
