Subaru Outback 2005 Model

Post by RSR 555 » Mon Mar 22, 2010 2:58 pm

Hi Guys.. Just looking for some info on this Outback that I spotted the other day. I'm wondering if this model come out painted this way (as I've only ever seen single tone) and if so was it a limited model. I ask because a friend is interested in this model. I know he could just buy one and paint it the same. think it looks make the car look like an Outback and not just a Liberty.

They dropped the two tone for the 2004 to 2007. It came back in 2008. I have often thought about doing mine the same. It may have been a special order but I would guess it is done by some one else.

Ive seen a white one with the silver lower bumpers/moulding.

Im actually tempted to colour code the bumpers/moulding on my Gen3 with the rest of the body

Noooooo.. don't do it. 2 tone makes them an Outback :) Would look different tho ;)

Some GENII and III shape Outbacks I've seen look great in colour coded. Also lowered the extra panel mouldings really suit a colour coded road car. Wrong forum but anyhow :)

I like the look of the H6 Luxury's (only came in pearl white) because of the uniform colour and the pumped guards.

I would have bought one only i didnt like the tan interior

There is a guy on RLSC with a dropped H6 Outback

Edit:

Here is a quick Paintshop Pro of what it might look like if i coloured my bumpers

Yep, that was a Limited Edition 'Duotone' Run by Subaru. It came with the duotone paint and then for the 2.5i the Allys off of a Forester XT. Nice Car:)

That's a 2003 model and it looks all wrong (IMO) Not much of an Outback now other than the front bar and side mouldings
