Wanted - 1 xPerformance Vega

Post by Lucky67 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 12:57 pm

After many, many km's (like 300,00+) one of the Performance Vega's on my friends lifted L series sedan has developed a crack in one of the spokes. The wheel repair guys are not prepared to repair it.

I know by hanging around here, some googling and chatting to some mates that the 14x6 size and the 4x140 PCD is a rare combination and that I probably have more luck in getting hit by lightening but it can't hurt to ask.

Would any of the folks on here happen to have a lonely Vega rim stuck in the dark corner of the shed that they would consider parting with, please, plese pretty please ?????

Is it one of these vegas?

If so I might know a bloke with a spare

I don't think he would let it go cheap though as they are rare as hens teeth

Not able to see the pics on the threads due to work firewall. Will have a look when I get home.

I am able to post a pic of what they look like. If you are long-time Qld Subie fan you will recognise the car, and yes it is still owned and loved by the same person.

Would really appreciate it if the ausubaru collective could keep their eyes and ears open for a lead on some

Thanks

Go to a welding joint and tell them its for a farm trailer. If the rim leaks afterwards, just use a tube!

I'm sure they're 13 inch rims, not 14...

You may have a little trouble looking for a set, but they do pop up on ebay every so often.

If you were after a set of 14 inch rally rims, they're rare as hen's teeth - Venom just sold a set I think...

Cheers

Thanks Brumbee. Initial plan was to try to find one to replace this cracked one. Didn't think I'd actually find a full set.
Shoot me a PM with a price and details. I'm over in Sydney, but do get the chance to travel interstate for work, and Adelaide is next on my project roll-out.

Keffa, not exactly sure what you mean, but if those rims are obtainable and useable, then I'd definately like to hear more

Thanks for you help
Regards
Wayne

Yep Someguy they are in fact the rim style. I thought they were made by Performance. A Momo Vega seems to be a Alfa replica style based on some googling.

Nobody really knows who they were made by.

Subawreck in Adelaide has some - usually odd numbers, maybe lucky to to buy a single unit.

Always liked them
