Hello,
what is the max. boost pressure for a EA82T engine till his headgasket blows, i mean only the engine, not the turbocharger.

Depend on what other mods you have.

If its a stock standard EA82T, i wouldn't go over 9psi

If you have an intercooler, larger exhaust, run premium fuel, you might get away with 12-15psi

Just remember that the higher you push it, the higher the chance you will blow it up
Current rides: 2016 Mitsubishi Triton GLS & 2004 Forester X
Ongoing Project/Toy: 1987 RX Turbo EA82T, Speeduino ECU, Coil-pack ignition, 440cc Injectors, KONI adjustale front struts, Hybrid L Series/ Liberty AWD 5sp
Past rides: 92 L series turbo converted wagon, 83 Leone GL Sedan, 2004 Liberty GT Sedan & 2001 Outback

im looking forward to mount an intercooler
do you mean the larger exhaust after the turbocharger or befor? because i think after the turbo, the exhaust is a little bit to small.
I run fuel with 98 ROZ

I doubt you would blow a head gasket, that comes mainly from overheating.
But its possible you could blow a ring landing off.

This is a good read that Disco started over at USMB, it has lots of input from people (me included) that have upped the boost on the EA82T.

I hope i will eliminate the overheating by mounting a second radiator-ventilator

in another forum some guys said to me i have to watch out for the engine characteristic map by using another turbocharger with more boost pressure, is that right? and how can i change the characteristic map? i know it isn't easy but is it needed by an EA82T engine?
