L-Series grey interior??

Post by sven '2' » Sun Aug 09, 2009 9:35 am

Could this be the elusive L-Series grey interior people on here over the years been chasing?

Might worth something to someone here / rest the damage would buff out I reckon

Wish that thing was in Perth... I need all the door trims plus i'd get the roof racks.

If someone buys it im a definate buyer for those parts. Of course if your looking for a ridiculous price, im not that desperate.

Sorry Sven, but nope that's not it!

The elusive grey interior came in L series that were built close to or during 1989 and are gun metal grey or dark navy blue in colour... GTlegs would be able to elaborate further as he has one of these L series with the said elusive interior.

Cheers

Oh well - looking at the photo could have been a combination of too much flash, sun faded interior...and of course the blood.

But there a few (well very few) odd paint and trim combos around - special orders by dealer principals, subaru run out etc. For example, turbo sedans without the RX trim; and I have seen a grey interior on white paint in a car yard with only 125xxx on it, so likely AUDM original.

Guess this wasn't one of them!

Guyph, I'm pretty sure you have the elusive interior grey colour in your touring wagon. Problem is that the door handles, or anything for that matter from this type of grey interior will not match the grey interior that you have...

I managed to find one a year or so ago for GTlegs, it was that important to him that he pretty much dropped everything and headed down to the yard!

Keep your eye's peeled and know what you're looking for, that's my advice.

Cheers

In a way its pretty cool thats i was lucky to get that special car:P
But proves hard to find the trim:( For now its ok, if i can get some then yeah, i've got more important issues like getting a twin cored rad for it etc.

But yeah, if you find/hear anything let me know:)
thx

Ha ha, thats exactly what i did! Like I said before Bennie, you are the man!

This is the standard low spec L-series grey interior - still pretty uncommon though.

Well i neva knew the "elusive L-Series grey interior" was so difficult to find!?

Been sitting in my L for almost 20 years and in great condition. I am currently considering the future of the ol girl out so if i decide to part her out i'll let you know.
Cheers.
