Fixing old MY ignition locks.

Rick asked me if I could manage to graft an Impreza STI lock/switch unit onto an early '80s Touring wagon column. The answer is in the pics below...

so it fits.. That key is a special key! Subaru remains unchanged! Only little tweaks.. What exactly part did u have to grind off? (pardon me if i didn't see it in the picture as i'm on my phone.)

Steve, will you be creating the snap off bolt head to stick with the ignition security once its installed in the car? It looks like a good fit!
