@#$#@$ rav 4 drivers!

Post by kwijmbo » Thu Mar 02, 2006 7:17 pm

Well,

after taking a few days to calm down, i thought i'd just let you know my rotory coupe is pretty much totalled.

no it wasn't doing anything stupid - it was a stupid blonde @#$#@ in a rav 4 who backed into the side of it at 30km/h.

quotes are around 2k for repairs...oh and did i mention she says its not her fault even tho she reversed into it as she wasn't watching and i wasn't moving....

I HATE stupid #$%#$% drivers who don't know how to drive.

Paul

I wish I had a wonderful story to share with you about a Subaru driver who stood up for their rights and took a reckless driver to court and sued the ass out of their pants and used the money to build the greatest EA series Subaru in the world - unfortunately that never happens.

In television good always wins right? Pity reality is so much different.
Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry

things happen. I guess i was just really upset as it wasn't my fault and it was some stupid bimbo who doesn't look when she reverses and the worst thing is she hardly got a scratch cos of that stupid hard wheel cover.

she then turned around to me and said it wasn't her fault. i shouldn't have been behind her when she was trying to reverse. can you believe how bloody stupid some drivers are?!

Sorry to hear this your car is a bit of an icon to me.
A woman did the same to me in a service station a couple of years ago (I was stationary) and told our insurance co. (both in racv) that I admitted liability at the scene which of course I didn't as I was sitting in the car with the car switched off, and racv held me liable. She had obviously done similar f...wit things previously and knew how to manipulate the system.
Hope everything works out for you.
Gee

Mate that sucks big time. :( :( :( 8O 8O
Hang in there something good will come of this even if it doesnt
seem like it at the moment.
The sad thing is that subies attract sub level moronic hillbillies
and kissn cousins as well as kamikzie blondes.
I had pissed well tanned people jump on my bonnet to get over a wall in a pub where i would park, i had people back into my roo bar at the rate of 1x week .
The best one was a f/witt reversed out of a side one way street into
my path because his blind passenger (yes he really was legaly blind)
said he couldnt see anything coming. 8O.
I was carless for 6 months then at the trail he spent all his time telling me how hard done by he had been..Gee i was sooooooooooo sympathetic  .
I also had a guy run into the back of me because i stopped for a red light.
Dont give up buddy you spent way too many hours of blood and toil to lie down and sigh.
Cheers Pete

BIATCH!.

Some drivers.... Try your hardest to get the money. Fix it if possible, such a nice car. You can't reverse into a non-moving car at 30km/h unless your not looking, SURLY?? She owes you everything it costs to fix it. And I wouldn't think it would be hard to convince anyone that fact.

Good luck mate.

quick guess

Post by coupe » Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:47 pm

So lets have a guess ...
I bet that you were stationary in a car park and she reversed out of a bay flat out to go somewhere in a blonde hurry.
I get this all the time in our local shopping center.

that's exactly what happened coupe. she was keen to get home and just jumped on the go pedal in reverse. joke was if u look at the carpark, she had a good 5 metre run-up on my car. if she'd only been looking out the back window and in her mirrors like most people do when you reverse, she would have seen it. after all, it's bright f**kin wrx blue covered in chrome with chrome wheels.

cops surely don't miss it, so i don't know how she did.

anyway, she received my letter of demand today. fortunately my whole family have law degrees and are practicing lawyers and barristers.

The leone will live again and she'll pay every red cent and then some. besides, i had a little scratch on that door anyway...and i need a new boost gauge...

i'm just really gutted. 5 years, endless money, hours and friends' time and money and effort. all wrecked cos some dumb bimbo can't drive...and the thing i HATE the most is she didn't even get damage. *sighs*

the other really hard thing is that so many people don't really understand what's involved when u do up a car from a rusty shell. like they really don't. just the amount of energy and focus u have to put into it. like even some of my friends who aren't into cars were saying - can't u just buy another one...i mean FFS! what is with people in this world?!

where you in a privately owned carpark??

If you where you may have no leg to stand on asking for cash as its considered a "No blame" situation or something like that....

Been there done this..

nah i'm not asking for cash. i'm asking for payment of repairs. According to my sources here, it doesn't matter where if its a public road or in a carpark.
