surely i'm not alone

Post by twilightprotege » Fri Mar 13, 2009 2:01 pm

since having my rx registered about 2 weeks ago, i've been driving the car pretty much every day. in just 2 weeks, i've been pulled up so far 3 times by passers by to tell me that i've got a cool car/i bet that car goes alright offroad/did i know old pug wheels fit

just so strange that i keep getting asked about the car and figured i'm surely not alone. does this happen to everyone???

(i'll put a picture of the car in my sig eventually, but it's a silver 87 rx, raised 2", 27x8.5/14 tyres, bullbar - car's been in the forum for some time now)

I may be biased, but the car is awesome. Get used to it :D

I have had similar with my red 3/87 GLTA sitting standard height but looks a little tougher on 14 inch white sunraysias (bugger the apostrophe rules)

I've had some stern sideways glances from the boys in blue, young and old who hear the 2.5 inch zaust, as if to say not another rex in sheeps clothing.

heads always turning in the streets from zaust note again - much the same i have done when heard a Rex but not sen one (coz it was in a Brumby :) )

Went chasing landcruisers on fire trails finding myself in compromising spots but given encouragement and compliments by the cruiser boys as to how well the auto sedan went

Or if I mention the old L Series is FACTORY TURBO !! running LPG lots wanna see under the bonnet

can't wait for my little wolf to morph into the Brumby !!

I've had this happen a couple of times in my L. Its got a nice stance to it and often people with the same car come over and ask about it and because ofthe straightthru 2 1/2 inch muffler, they also ask wat engine i'm running. just standard carby :D lol (excuse the sideways photo)
