Demister

Post by indy » Sun Feb 15, 2009 3:27 pm

Hey all just wondering are all Demisters in the L-series pretty damn average?
because on a rainy day like today, where all the windows in my wagon fogs up i can't see a thing! and well the Demister doesnt seem to do a whole lot. its a non-air con suby, do you put it on hot or cold? it seems to just take forever. now i just cop the rain and have the window down a bit lol

Always run it on hot to demist, especially if you dont have A/C, but check that it is actually blowing hot air out on the screen, you may have a thermostat stuck open and not allowing the water to get hot. There is no heater tap on these, only a flapper on the heater box, so if all the buttons and levers work OK and you dont have any vaccum leaks in the dash, then maybe check your thermostat.

Lots of Ks,A/C, MP3 sometimes(if its not dark) singing steering wheel cover which I listen too when its dark.

The best way to demist your screen is with the aircon on, and the heat on. This blows warm dry air onto the screen and prevents fog from forming on the screen

If you dont have aircon, just put it on full hot and full speed, the warm air will heat warm the glass and evaporate any condensation
