Video from Stockton Beach

Post by PeeJay » Wed Dec 24, 2008 8:09 pm

A few weeks ago I took my Outback 3.0R to Stockton Beach for the first time. It goes fantastic on the sand, one of the better cars we had there. The only problem is overhang, I ended up ripping off half the rear bumper later in the day. oops! It only came dislodged from the metal clip so I can fix it ok without an insurance claim.

The other subaru in the video is my brother David with his WRX powered RX Turbo with 2" lift and 26" tyres. Considering he only has the original L series radiator in there still I'm surprised it's still going :)

I did go up one much larger dune (where I ripped the bumper off half way up) but we forgot to video it!

Good vid, the Outback certainly doing very well there. It's fun watching the mammoth 4x4's failing at simple hill climbs lol.
Your bro David needs to put his foot down abit sooner than halfway up the dune I think! :)

your OBW, VDC/traction control ? nice to see it do so easily. hmm now thinking how mine would go, havn't been to Stockton for a whiles...

lol, the vehicle at 4:12, rear axle appears to do nothing, whats that a jackaroo? hopeless anyway:p
At least the RX was spinning all four wheels even stuck...

Looks like it was blowin a gale there, hasn't been many good beach days this year yet:???:

The traction control actually turned itself off after about 5 mins. I think it got confused...

Yes, that was a Jackaroo - It has a LSD but it doesn't work too well any more. The wheel on the other side was going though.

The wind was painful, you almost needed protective eye wear
