G.day all,
I'm at work atm, i've checked on my liberty wagon, it has 3 error codes, its like running on two cylinders at 2200 to 3200rpm, can't overtake unless i'm over 3200rpm! The error codes are
42 - idle switch
13 - cam position sensor
24- air control valve
I've reset ecu and still comes up with these codes after a 5min drive.
Wouldn't timing belt affect this?
Can someone tell me where these items so i can quickly check.
Thanks guys
Cheers

Yep idle switch should be incorporated into the TPS.
A bad idle switch will cause hesitation when going from closed throttle to open.
Air control valve is the thing that increases the idle speed when the engine is cold or you have the air-con on.
Somewhere on the forum is a detailed procedure to clean it.
The cam position sensor is the thing that tells the ECU what part of the combustion cycle the engine is at.
This is the one that is most likely causing your problems.
Maybe try to swap one off a good motor and see if it fixes it.

Yeah, its air con related - only happens after i switch off air con - at the moment its running fine and did a deep reset (disconnected battery for 3 hours) and its ok - I will swap parts from wreckers and see what it is... Now I have the idea what to get..
Cheers & thanks
