Just thought i'd throw up a few pictures of my '67 VC Valiant.

Previous owner did a full ground up resto
swapped all the goodies out of a regal which included the 273 V8, disc brake front end, floor shift + coffin console, buckets.
9 inch diff
Work i've done...
rebuilt the transmission
fitted a VJ disc brake set up
wheels modified to 14 x 7 and run 225 60 14

Sadly not cruisin' at the moment, think the 9 inch has a broken hat so its not been driven untill i have the money to rebuild it. So maybe in 2 years when i finish uni....

Thats wierd looking thing is the oil filter housing, quite often moved as the stock ones cost like 80-100 IF you can get one.

These photo's don't do it justice, it's something else when you see it on the road. Orange/red car you can't really see in the back ground of the engine bay pick was my sisters genuine HQ SS with 253 and 4 speed manual.

Nice Val Venom, but I can see my pet hate in old cars :( In dash cd player. I like it when they are hidden so it keeps the old time look all the way through.

Nice old "ValleyGrunt"... An uncle of mine had the same model with a 460 Ford donk crammed into it. Scared a few Ricers and wanna-be's off the road, that's for sure. He had standard looking wheels too.

I've gone with a compromise on my Subie. It's painted in Mopar Everglade Green, a Dodge Challenger/Charger colour, with the muscle car style twin hood scoops and sun roof.

Don't waste that one of yours though. Get it fixed, get it on the road, and get out and enjoy it. Gotta keep the old iron rolling...

Why am I not surprised the only problem with it is the Ford part...

Toss that 9" diff and throw in a 489 case 8 3/4" Mopar unit

The 273 is a nice motor...I've got a 318 in my VG hardtop stroked to just under 390 cubes with late-model Magnum closed-chamber heads, airgap dual-plane manifold and a Holley 670 Street Avenger

One common thing between early Valiants and early Subaru's - they both have oddball bolt patterns - 5 x 4" (used by nobody else that I know of, including any of the larger Chrysler's), and our beloved 4 x 140mm (used by Peugeot once upon a time).

Dean.
