NSW/ACT BYB run: 19th November

Well I'll put some of my pics in first then!
Fun day was had by all, even if I did roll a tire off the bead (LTurbo rode with smoov shortly after that one) and break not one but TWO radius arms! I'll temper the next ones.
Smoov's wagon. Obviously Chubby37 got to it with a machine gun.
Us on our way.
No worries. LTurbo would have been softened my fall had we have gone over.
We got ourselves a convoy!
Who we are when we're not hiding behind the interweb.
Uh-oh, that ain't good.
Nothing a bit of duct tape and a Red-Bull can't fix! Not...
I deserve it really.

Not really sure. I wasn't driving
particularly hard or really showing off. The only thing I can put it down to is the new radius-arm bushes are tight so they're putting stress into the radius-arms that used to be absorbed by the flogged-out old rubber bushes.
As for rolling a tire off the rim . . . just being a bit silly.

I do wish I was filming that, to watch Muddy's side go up in the air and to watch my side get much closer to the ground. 8O EEP. I am just quite glad that bank was soft.
I'll be posting my pics sometime soonish, is there anywhere that will host vids for free?

The photo of Bal and Richard (bottom picture) shows them constructing a makeshift drive shaft from a piece of water pipe. This became necessary when the shaft banged on a rock and was twisted completely in two pieces.
And some people thought MechaWagon's driveshaft methods were dodgy
granted this is an emergency situation though.
Nice find, I've actually seen someone weld their battery terminals onto the battery posts trying to jump start with 2 pieces of thick wire, that was years ago, still gives me a chuckle everytime I think of it

just looking at that last picture with the telstra rope
Just wondering how much clearance you have under that bashplate on your car? looks really low but that may just be the picture angle.

not bring good luck.
The sump guard does go quite low, the reason being the EJ20 has a very deep sump, about 50mm deeper than the EA82.
I have seen some people make up shallow sumps (to suit VW Baja conversions) to suit, although let me just say it would not be an economically rational decision to purchase one.
