And I heard stock Hiluxes rolled over if you got a bit adventurous... looks like a road car to me.

i've never seen a roofrack put on a car for cosmetic reasons.
(i mean, how would you even get to it???)

now i have.
ZOMG.
Definately a road car!! Its taller than what it is wide!!! 8O

imagine that poor little engine and auto tranny, trying to get the thing to move!!

and anyone see the lifted delica beside it? seems to be overshadowed by the newer freakshow of a van!!

I'm imagining what they are planning for the little white Diahatsu Mira in the background. I owned one of those for about 9 months, such a fun little car. I had the "larger engine" version - 800cc's of pure 3cyl power!!
I always thought it would make a funny offroader.

one question...how does the owner get into the cabin? jetpack?!

and those rubber wheel arches arent really gonna do anything apart from looking terrible.

I had to show that to my wife. I've been wanting to get that model Delica or the latest one (cosmetically far nicer to look at) for the last 4 years. Makes sense for me with 5 kids compared to an L-series but I can't justify the second people mover in the family just for 4WDing.

Ever driven one of that model Delica? Brilliant! Standard seating height is higher than a lifted Hilux. A chasm of room inside and rides a lot nicer than a troopy - albeit with less 4WDing potential. Never as chuckable as a lifted L-series either. Worlds apart. 4x4 Monthly wrote a review last year saying, "Imagine a late '90's Pajero with too much weight on the roof racks". Worse than the handling is the interior splattered with "Chamonix" in all fugly colourings throughout on the base models. Newer models are much more given that up thankfully.

Bugger it, I still want one.

As for the wheel arch flares not doing much.... so long as the lift kit isn't noticed by the authorities then at least they might compensate for the wider tyres and keep them within the sides of the vehicle.
