Great read, great pictures, and a great (and safe) trip. Really glad that you and yours had such a good time, and it's always a feel good time when I read about people that you only know on forums getting to meet and help out each other in person 100's of k's away from home, makes the forum concept ...

So the original metal shrouded electric fan doesn't fit and I will have to get a second fan like the a/c one, right? The one I had the problem with was not shrouded at all at the top of the radiator, just around its blade. I have no idea if the problem fan was OEM or aftermarket. Measure up its dep...

with this listing in thread post above. A radiator that fits both L Series and MY Brumby must be good! Yes right at the end it says "Leone L series 4WD & wagon : from 11/1979 to 12/1984" I'm glad for you that you are so enthusiastic about the concept - unfortunately there is no such radiator, the m...

Glad to see yo are happy with it, certainly the dogs are safer. Good to keep an eye on it long term , as dissimilar metals in contact with each other and a little moisture can do surprisingly strange things. Add in some doggy sweat etc, and who knows ;) if you ever re-do it, I'd think about putting ...

MY rear struts - differences ? ute - wagon-sedan-coupe ?
Could someone tell me if subaru had any real differences between the 4 body types with the performance/pressure/ settings of the rear shocks I gather they all fit the 4 body types ( at least the wagon and ute seem physically interchangeable) - so I'm wondering if there was a difference in their "inn...

I don't want to peeve too much, but do any of you think you could start a separate thread for this reasonably unrelated stuff - and delete your posts in this thread ? or conduct your business through PM ? Reading post like these are, for me, like going to the national art gallery. Some of the stuff I see I have absolutely no understanding of how it was done, and I know that I would never be able to do it myself, but I just gape in awe at the obvious excellence of concept itself anfd then even more so...

KYB shocks F + R for $418 Delivered
I've bit the bullet and bought a full new set of Front and rear KYB shocks for the brumby, ended up $418 delivered for the set of 4 . Apparently I have currently one front and one rear shock, both of which are essentially out of oil ;) I'm hoping that this is a good price/deal ? has anyone bought fr...
