Burning oil

Hey So Ive got a liberty that is using shit tonnes of oil - in the order of around 4.5 to 5.5 l between 6000km services. Way more than any other car Ive owned. Its weird because it runs great, doesnt stink like burning oil, doesn't smoke, doesn't drip oil onto the ground and all 4 plugs are the corr...

Cheers mate. Looks like my problems already fixed however! From the service history couldn't find out when the dif and box oil was last done so I decided I'd pull a long shot and find out if different oil did anything. It was good i did it, what came out of the diff looked like old engine oil and st...

Yeah I'd like to do that but if I can I'd be keen to avoid shelling out for another box and having two boxes to dispose of at the end of it all.

EA / EJ Syncros

Hey Guys Got a Gen 1 liberty with a bad syncro on second gear and an EA 5spd dual range selectable 4WD box for a low range conversion (in said liberty). Question is, the syncro looks good in the EA box, does anyone know if I can use that syncro in the liberty box? Are the syncros the same? If they a...

Dude if you wanna do it, I say do it. I googled this a few months ago and it has been done, there is a write up on a different forum somewhere. I think you may even be able to buy kits. Essentially you weld up the centre diff, dissable the unessesary FWD components, and make sure the RWD components ...

Hey there ausubaru I'm new and only recently found your site while I was looking to see if the low range in a Gen 1 lib can be improved. And so it can! If I can find the parts and money for the parts on a shoe string uni bum budget I'll seriously be considering doing an EA conversion. I'm pretty new...

Want L Series 1.59 Low Range - For EJ Conversion

Like the other bloke on here, I'm after the parts for an EJ AWD Low range conversion into a Gen 1 liberty. Also like the other bloke, I could take a whole box and it could be smashed up, blown up and on fire as long as the input shaft, low range selector and gears are up to the task. PM me or give m...

Sell 1984 EA81 4WD Sportswagon. Towbar, Bullbar, Roofracks, Lots of new bits

Item: Beige EA81 SportsWagon 4WD Description: Bought this car and fixed it up for Uni before dad kindly, yet somewhat inconveniently, gave me the Lib. This means it isn't too good on the outside but has lots new parts on the inside. Would be great for reliable old beater or spare brumby parts. Comes...
