Picked up a set of 14" sunraysias for it, so now just looking for some tyres. Anyone got any large-ish tyres...

For Sale: 88 L series wagon

Hi guys, I have for sale a white 88 4wd L series. I bought this off Frosty with the plan to keep it down at the shack to tow the tinny down to the beach, collect wood etc. I have since decided that I can just use my existing L series for this, so this car is up for sale. I reckon I'll take it. Sounds perfect to leave down at the shack to take the boat down to the beach. I'll talk to you again when you get back.

Cheers

Can't see how 'completely blocked' breather lines could allow oil up to the air filter :p Nah, not the crankcase breathers, they were clear and oil was being pushed up into the aircleaner. As previously mentioned, blow by probably had something to do with it. But that alone wouldn't have caused the...

i have have had oil in the intake area before. Lots of it. Was caused by all the PCV hoses being blocked with carbon (completely blocked) , not allowing the engine to breath properly. Just check all your hoses PCV realated hoses are clear of carbon. An oil catch can is also a good idea, but not enti...

Sell KYB L series rear shocks AS NEW

I have for sale a pair of AS NEW rear kyb shocks for an L series 2wd sedan. Part number 341214. I bought these for my vortex but they sit too high, I had to buy the wagon ones as I have a 4wd rear end in the tex, so no need for these. They have probably done a total of 2km with me test driving the v...

ended up going with the redline rectangular filter with a blank base and cut my own hole out.

The twins absolutely scream with this much air flow. Sounds awsome :)

and i've even got room for a spare under the bonnet now too! bonus.

Comments in For Sale thread

I have a pair of kyb rear shocks for sale. I can't seem to make a comment in the thread to bump it back to the top. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to bump it up? I have seen some very old for sale threads bumped up the top without people even posting, i guess this a different issue. Thanks...

Not sure where the tailshaft came from as it was in there when i bought the car. Has potential though, just need to find another way...

ha, i had a feeling this might happen... :) mine is a series 1 vortex so the electric window switches are different, hopefully the surround is the same. Should be. Can't have the stalk with the lights and wipers, i need that. plus they are different between series 1/2, so might not work depending on...
