I am pretty sure in QLD it is against the law to have the hazards on on a moving vehicle. At one stage in Victoria there was an ad campaign to encourage people to drive with their hazards on in foggy conditions... I've never seen anyone use it though and i havn't seen the ad for a few years now... ...

Ruby Scoo on the road - ironing out the problems

Hey all, I've finally got ruby scoo on the road... I had a camshaft 180 degrees out  she didn't run too well in that state... rather lumpy and no power. Now she won't idle below 1400 revs, is still pushing out codes in a jibberish fashion, used to over heat at cruising speed - got a new oxy se...

Hello Hello, I got a mate who's dad builds exhausts. He tells me to be careful with an exhaust up grade. Your trying to eliminate any points in the system where it is restrictive or turbulant. Your exhaust is meant to be like a chimney, when it gets hot it helps draw out the exhaust gases, turbulanc...

If its not one head gasket, its the other...

The saga with Ruby Scoo continues... Now that exams are over and that i have some time on my hands it was time to play with the temporary engine after finding cracked heads on the engine that will replace the temporary one. The temp engine had a problem with the left hand bank, but ran on the right ...

As Jaffa said, the car can be replaced.

usually 4th is one to one, fifth being an overdrive, that's how the new cars get the good economy with the extra power, noticed we're getting 6 speed manuals in performance vehicles (such as holden) now? anyways, hope this is right, its usually the case, otherwise i don't see any use in the fifth ge...

Hmm... i thought we were all on the same team here? Seems i'm wrong, or there's dessent in the ranks... Since i'm building an EA82, full rebuild, its great confidence to read this sort of thread, even if it is all in jest, or partly... I would say that for all the anti polution stuff that hangs off ...

Hey Johnarentz, I dunno if there are any welsh plugs in EA82 heads, but i'll have a look for you at the next chance i have, as i've got a set kickn around in the shed. I don't see how oil would be getting in the coolant, unless you've got a cracked head between the water/oil jackets, an old 'o' ring...

Hey GTlegs, If going to replace/fix heater core, the easiest way is to remove the dash. There will be plugs near the stearing column, up the back near the stearing column, and near the left and right side panels, an earth wire will go from the dash loom to the gearbox mound... There will be 7 bolts ...

Hey MechaWagon,
Will you have any problems with your insurance, or will they just up your fee/preimum?

Or is it just a case of telling them "i've dropped a two litre into my car now"... to update your account?

Cheers

Just my thoughts

I have not time or patience for fishing, i'd rather be working on Ruby Scoo or another subaru.

Where are all the Victorians?

Just thought i'd open another topic up to level with the number of topics NSW has (2)...

So, where is every one? (most likely in Queensland, that seems to be where most victorians are... i'm going to check their posts now...)

Cheers

Change of theme and no Home page...

Hey all, Great to see the site up again looking a little like it used to... I thought i'd fix my account to how it used to be, went and change the theme to the Sand journey (i think) and then when to go back to the home page were only the welcome notice appeared with the two side panels... I changed...
