Re: A weekend away to Deep Creek

You certainly had a good time out there Silverbullet.
That flight would have been no good to me either, I can get butterflies in my stomach just by going down a steep hill in a car, so an aircraft doing loops would probably have me filling the cockpit from both ends.

I'm aware I screwed up bad. Should have read the manual instead of just assuming I knew what was up. :(
It never fails to do what it says. :( :(

No good to me, I wouldn't know what to with with all those red buttons in front of the gear stick.
Besides I am not sure I like that rust colour underneath either, even if it is genuine.

Re: Fiori points Dizzy conversion

Just reading this thread again brought back the memory of a situation I had in Townsvill NQ. I owned a 1971 Capri 3000 V6 GT, I had trouble trying to buy a new set of contact points. The guy behind the spare parts counter, sent me to a guy who lived in a caravan park in Wulguru. He said to take my o...

Found this 2007 Forester X 5sp Man. on the OFFROAD Subaru site posted up up by a member over there. Body looks good judging by the pictures, engine would need looking a close inspection though, servicing has not been on time as per schedule (see Ad pictures of log book). https://www.grays.comlot/000...

Re: Ruby Scoo’s epic build, ten years and counting...

Hey Suparoo, thanks for the suggestion, dunno if it’ll work on the section required. It’s where the window winds up to when in the fully up position, this rubber bit covers over the top of the window when up. So it’s a one piece left, right and over. It could be more plastic than rubber, dunno real...

Bennie re the cracked rubber, try Gorilla Glue on the crack. Gorilla Super Glue Gel is specially formulated to absorb impacts, drops, and shocks as it contains tiny rubber particles that increase its strength and impact resistance . Works well for bonding rubber as well as plastic, metal, wood, cera...

As for pics, you’ll need to use a third party hosting site. I personally use imageshack and I’ve recently heard of others having good success with imgur or the like. After you’ve uploaded your pics drop the code in your thread and it should appear once previewed or posted. Hopefully that helps you ...

Ah solid shims, ouch! Sorry to hear about your leukaemia, hopefully you’re finding your treatment beneficial with you on the recovery path to full health sooner rather than later. Hats off to you Gary, firstly for taking on this repair (many would bin the engine and put another one in!) and secondl...

Re: Valve clearance EJ20 DOHC

Can you get new shins from Subaru? I’m guessing you don’t want to wait though. Partsouq are good for genuine items. I use parts from them for the Subarus and our Pajeros in the family. You do have to wait for those parts to rock up though, usually 7 days from order to delivery. Cheers Bennie Gary c...
