Yeah the bolt at the bottom of the tank will do it, but it will drain all your fuel to so run the ute pretty much dry before you do it. Also have you checked your fuel pump recently? As it could be helping the problem to. Yeah the guage is on the empty line. We checked the front fuel filter the fir...

How do I drain a brumby fuel tank?
Hi I have had some problems with water in the fuel tank lately. I put some metho in the tank which fixed it for a while but now it's happening again really badly (not getting fuel going up hill). I think there is a bolt on the bottom of the tank, do I just undo this to drain the water out? If not ho...

Last night I was driving in the city when i noticed the brake pedal felt wierd. It kept going in further and further until it was touching the firewall and I had no brakes. The pedal moved until about 1 cm from the end of the stroke where it grabbed just enough to hold me still in traffic. Luckily a...

Considering buying a liberty
Hi recently I have been thinking of selling the brumby and buying a liberty wagon, non turbo because I'm on my P's. I'm not sure which body shape I like better the older (92 etc.) or later (96-8 etc.) I would probably looking to spend no more than about $7000, which seems about right according to ca...

I had a similar problem with mine. Ran OK normal day to day driving but when I gave it some stick it seamed to be starving for fuel. Tried blowing out fuel lines, reset float in carb etc. No joy. Ended up being vacuum in tank starving carb for fuel. Try taking your fuel cap off and see if it improv...

brumby brakes staying on / dragging
Hi it seems that when i am driving in traffic for a while and using the brakes the pedal really gets firm and the car doesn't roll easily as if the brakes are sticking. Could they need new brake fluid? I filled up with fuel and had used about a third of a tank at the end of the next day so there rea...

92 brumby not getting fuel up hill?
hi recently when I have been going up hill in my brumby it would start dying and hopping along the road as if it is running out of fuel even when there is half a tank still, then once the road is flat it is fine. It happened one night then about a week later it happened again, the strange part is th...
