Re: What’s everyone up to these days?

I have moved further south in the SE corner of QLD and built a brand new home, the last home we built new also but after 13 yrs things were on the verge of needing repairs or replacement, so we palmed it off. In 2013 we swapped the Forester over with our daughter and traded her 2005 Mazda 6 in on a ...

Would the 1995 US BD-BG-BK Legacy be the same or similar?
I can point you to one of their Factory Service Manuals if you think it might be of help.

Re: NEW FORUM TEST

And efforts you’ve gone to secure the forum and set it up to a functional platform once again is greatly appreciated Andrew. It’d be good to have it “moving” like it was about ten years ago, but I guess priorities change for some, vehicles are replaced by other makes and of course, new platforms ta...

Re: Spam/other alerts

Yeah looks like 4 spam bots got in, they were probably initiated by an actual human for the initial account creation then left to run. I couldn't even delete them or their posts (unless I did them manually post by post) - they had over 5000 each and the little management interface I have just crash...

Re: Spam/other alerts

Well it seems it’s happened again - spam bombing of the forum in a big way. Only 800 and something new posts. All that I can see are Russian spam posts on the first page of new posts... Not good for the mods. So human getting through the security setting then using a program to bomb the forum?? At ...

Re: Buyers remorse, need inspiration!

And an EA81 would be an upgrade in the L series over the EA82... bullet proof without the rubber bands to run the cams ;) An even better upgrade would be the Diesel. No rubber bands, awesome ECU remap potential, and mind-numbing torque off idle. You just need to get by the DPF issue.

Re: Buyers remorse, need inspiration!

- Expected decent fuel economy on the freeway but still surprised (1/3 tank/300km, approx 6.7L/100km)
That equates 900km's out of a full tank, for a 31 yr old car that needs some TLC I'd be over the moon myself.
That also equates to 42.1613 Imp MPG.

Re: Help with erratic idling Engine Swap?

I had a similar problem with my 2003 XS Forester, but my Suby was a 5MT. The problem with mine turned out to be the Neutral Switch. Mine would also idle at around the 1200 RPM mark when stopping at traffic lights or STOP signs etc., it annoyed the crap out of me until Boxer Service in Brendale Qld s...

Agreed with Toonga. I also like the old windscreen banner stickers too. I was given the font for this via facebook a few years back but as I'm not on there anymore I don't have access to it - and probably wouldn't know where to look for it either if I was. I think it might have been Captain Obvious...

You are right there Bennie, as much as I love my 2016 CRV for what it is, I still miss my subies terribly for what they were (MY00 RX & SG03 XS). :( :(
