I usually use 80w/90. In the race car with the 4sp we ran dry once and all we had was used 10w/40 which worked well enough but the next weekend we raced my Co drivers boss gave me some 110w/140 and it made the shifter a lot firmer, and no gear crunches at all. What's your preferred oil for an old but not warn out gearbox?
As the topic asks, what oil do you use? I'm mainly interested in the weight, not the brand. Thanks

You'll need one of the newer centre diffs from the 8 bolt EJ boxes. Pretty much any 5 sp box from 2000 onwards would have one. Ive replaced one while the box was on the car, it's not hard if you have a hoist or pit to use. Probably 2 hours if you had a coffee break during the process. They just make...

Springs only get stiffer as they are tensioned (twisted). Adjusting the torsion bar on the inner side only rotates the entire bar which is how it lifts the rear of the car.
