ah righto. I thought you were referring to the spring hitting the strut tower as that was the issue I was having. As you say, the different spring probably isn't going to help you in this instance. I don't know if the impreza struts would have a smaller spring seat but my guess would be they are the...

"my current issue is the front liberty struts that are striking on the inside of the strut tower. Did you have this issue?" I had this issue with my vortex. I'm also running 5 stud and liberty gx front struts. However I am using early wrx springs and top hats. They taper at the top and don't hit on ...

Sell FS: 3.7 VLSD
I have for sale an R160 3.7 rear diff with a VLSD centre from an RS Turbo lib. I'm sick of tripping over it under the house so it's time to go. Even comes in a factory LSD casing. $350. Item Located in Hobart. PM or post if interested. Cheers Sam http://imageshack.us/a/img703/7263/dsc0020ve.jpg

ok sounds good. I think i'll take the diff centre out. If you take the side plates off I assume you need to undo the bolt inside the stub aswell. This looks like a torx head, which I don't have. An 8mm fits over it ok but I don't know if I trust it... Has anyone undone it like this or should I find t...

I'm planning on using a couple of bolts like this.
Maybe I should just take the diff centre out of the housing...

welding rear diff
Ok so I'm planning on welding my rear diff this weekend for my L series bush basher. I've got it out of the car, pulled apart and all cleaned up reading for welding. Can anyone tell me how the stub axle seals hold up under the heat of welding? I have done a bit of reading on here about welded diffs ...

just a query with the welded diff. Can you still turn tight corners ok offroad? I'm building up an L series wagon to keep down at the shack. Its not registered so never going on the road. But there are a few quite tight corners. Its mainly for towing the tinny down to and around on the beach. Should...

I mate of mine was selling his EA81 twin carb set and it got me thinking... I had an old EA82 motor lying around so whipped the inlet manifold off to see if they were the same. Turns out they are, so I bolted the whole EA81 twin carb manifold onto my EA82, a few minor wiring and fuel mods but nothin...

Sell KYB L series rear shocks AS NEW
I have for sale a pair of AS NEW rear kyb shocks for an L series 2wd sedan. Part number 341214. I bought these for my vortex but they sit too high, I had to buy the wagon ones as I have a 4wd rear end in the tex, so no need for these. They have probably done a total of 2km with me test driving the v...
