It was mentioned already but you really need to get a meter on that circuit when its playing up and make sure its actually the relay thats at fault....Power it up on the bench and make sure the pixies are getting from a to b...
or throw the whole thing in the bin and make a new one.

We use them at work. M6 stainless.....yeah its pneumatic! We even modified it and fitted an air screwdriver to the back of it so after you clamp it you can unscrew the gun faster then a lizard drinking. Little tip, if you get the hole nice and round and the right size, some thread sealant or even lo...

I doubt sealed bearings would fail like that. More likely the bearings are fine, or they are stuffed because the driveshaft nut was not tightened up properly. You must at minimum give the cone washers a quick once over on a belt sander or similar so there are no burrs. I prefer to over tighten the n...

Legacytt, pretty sure Silverbullet plans on the standard motor with twin carbies. He's the best one to answer that though. Measured the windows today, only 7.5amps all going up. Mine dont seem to struggle too bad and are factory. I dont know what the aftermarket ones you installed will draw, you nee...

Up to you really. I think the "proper" way is to run individual power feeds to each light but in the case of our subarus the voltage drop from jumping from one lamp to the next will be unnoticeable. I did some measurements today with the clamp meter at work. My car draws about 10amps at idle with th...

Pauls off for a few weeks in a couple of days. From memory he had a couple of adaptor plates kicking around his house, I need to drop in to his and flash new firmware onto his speedo before he leaves so Il ask for you. I dont know about a modified flywheel, he usually gets them done as needed but he...

4 amps per light, so for a quad headlight like mine thats 8 amps lo beam and 16amps high beam. It depends on how you wire it to what gauge you need. You can wire it up with all the lights having separate power and GND feeds, or you can do what I did and run a heavier wire down to the drivers light, ...

Sam, a few things I remember from when I did mine. Headlights draw about 4 amps each, interior cabin fan was pretty hungry, around the 7amp mark, thermo fan (white one in metal shroud) is pretty greedy, cant say Ive measured it but its probably around the 8-10amp mark. fuel pump, couple amps, indica...

No I never made my own ignition controller, I wasnt brave enough! My car is using a 36-1 timing ring on the crank pulley. Then my microsquirt ecu is driving the coil packs and doing the timing control. You can still use a distributor with programmable ignition, a lot of car manufacturers did. It req...

Programmable ignition has been the best all round improvement to my engine. Good gains down low and mid range. I imagine if I got it dyno tuned then the top end would be better as well. No need for COP, I would stick to wasted spark. Simpler and as far as our engines are concerned no difference in p...

Just my thoughts but I did have two 34mm single throat webers I was going to do something similar with a long time ago. I swapped them with some other bits to Toonga. My hunch would be that it would be very little improvement over standard, it would be a lot harder to tune and keep in tune and when ...

I went from digi to 6 gauge but I dare say some of the colors are the same across all cars of the era.
And sorry for the crudity of my notes, they were cheat sheets that I used before testing what each wire did.
Regards
Doug
