i'm not sure which year models you are referring to by "phase 2" but I have done a lot of miles in gen1 and gen2 libs. gen1 ej22 has far better low down torque. gen2 ej22 revs more freely and is much better on fuel. more compression equating to better torque low down is an assumption. go drive a cou...

everything is ready to go so we are sitting around watching other teams work. Very unusual for us

phase 2 - does that mean gen2?

I still have that low kms 92gx motor we talked about a while back. If i can sell it for a reasonable price I can afford to fix my head gaskets when they get bad enough.

let me know if you are interested.

according to the alldrivesubaroo guys you can. they fit the early centers in their built boxes as they find them more reliable.

You could call them and ask if any mods are involved.

I don't understand how that could be the problem either. everything you have described has sounded like driveline slop. Bent shafts will give a vibration regardless of throttle. Did you put a straight edge on them? you have seriously bent a solid steel ~20mm shaft? Never heard of that before - but t...

maybe you are right then. Here's the history as i know it. camo originally owned the HD ally bar (5mm all ally) that grant, and now legacytt has. it was on his red ser2 sedan. I remember seeing it driving round UQ in the early 2000's. it blew me away! The red car was in an accident, and the insuranc...

There is one solution I know of. a torque converter!

I never noticed all the slop until i fitted the manual box. Its handy having a shock absorber in your drivetrain.

we all drive old cars with lots of kms that have had a reasonably hard life. the subaru drivetrain is complicated. when you think about the number of components / joints from the motor to the wheel, its not surprising that we all notice some slop. a little bit of wear in each joint adds up to a lot ...
