Removing power steering....

Hey, I have a question that I'm sure some of you will think is crazy (some might not) but I'd like your opinions anyway. My brother owns a very nicely done up honda accord with insane suspension set-up. Handles like a bat out of hell on tracks. He's also got a few mates with similar set-ups. Now the...

Friday there was a red brumby at the subaru shop at brendale, lifted with scorpion rims, again looks really n...

Well would you look at that, i believe i just answered my own question. looked up the exedy site and found some flywheel info for L series and impreza. They say the L series flywheel is recessed -21mm and the impreza flywheel is flat. Therefore mine is off the L series. This sound right? Amazing wha...

what clutch should i buy?

I have a quick question about clutches. My L series sedan has a '93 impreza ej20 and standard L 5spd gbox, just wondering what I should ask for when ordering a new clutch, I'm guessing it's an impreza clutch but I don't really know. I was gonna go with exedy and see if they have a heavy duty set-up....

Thanks Will,
So yeah, if anyone's got an L series exhaust from cat converter back (as that's the only bolt up flange on mine) that'd be a great help too.
Thanks again.

help - need exhaust because of lift

Hey, so I'm lowering my L sedan from a 4" lift to a 2" and have run into problems with the exhaust. I knew it would be a problem just didn't anticipate it being such a big one. My car has a '93 impreza engine and hence custom exhaust which has been fitted after the car was lifted. Lowering the car m...

Well I tried Daza's method this arvo. Jacked it up, loosened the bolts, lowered it down, tightened the bolts. It looked good until I drove backwards and forwards a few times, then it was straight back to bad negative. Some of the bushings look a little worn, in particular the ones in the bottom shoc...

Bad negative camber on rear wheels. Help please.

So here's my problem. My '87 L sedan with 3" lift and king springs has very bad negative camber on the rear wheels. And just so as there's no mistaking which is which, they're sticking out at the bottom like so. / -- \ The front wheels have the usual positive camber from the springs which I'll get a...

What filters YOUR air??

Just after some opinions and personal experiences on air filters. My L series sedan with EJ20 currently has a paper pod filter. My understanding is that these are great for performance, simply letting more air get in, but are pretty obviously terrible for creek crossings and watersports in general. ...

Problem getting drum brakes off

hey, I'm having trouble getting the drum off one of my rear brakes to change the shoes. Got one side off with a little gentle persuasion with a hammer, no problems. Other side won't budge. It's an '87 L series sedan and I have a haines workshop manual which shows an adjusting bolt on the back to rel...

Know a welder in Brisbane?

So, over the weekend I discovered a loose bolt in one of the lift blocks (L series - the one at the front with three blocks) By the looks of it the thread just rusted out, the captive nut's still attached but next to no thread left in it. As a temporary fix I've done as a recent thread suggested and...
