if you are an experienced beach driver you will be fine. snorkel is not necessary at all. If you are in that much water you have done something seriously wrong. extra ground clearance and low tyre pressures will get you through most areas along with plenty of right foot. if you are travelling alone ...

WTB: known good AC condensor for Gen1 Liberty

I'm trying to sort out an AC leak and the fridgy has suggested a replacement condensor.

I'm in Brisbane and the car is a 91 GX liberty. Anyone able to help?

Cheers

I've got a Southern Cross tent, been made in Bayswater for many years. Simple, well made and very durable. 4 pegs, one pole, done.(few more pegs for windy/wet weather) "Market leading 5 year manufactures warranty." Warm in winter and the temperature from people inside stop it freezing. Cool in summ...

since you have gone to so much trouble with your stereo, instead of the yellow plastic make some liners up out of 1mm rubber sheet.

I did this in a gen1 many many moons ago and it pretty much silenced all the rattles in the doors.

Hey Luke

I have a beer keg fire drum that you guys are welcome to borrow. Its not huge but generates tons of heat.

Pick up from Springwood. DM has my mobile number

Jerking on acceleration on/off or changing gears Mate my car is cronic for this since installing my dual range. think about the number of joints in your driveline, and how wear in any of them cumulatively adds up to a shitload of driveline slop. My tailshaft seems tight, so i put mine down to worn ...

i think you are going to find getting silka off without damaging paint is going to be near impossible. I would mask off any visible areas, mechanically remove the dealant with a knife then wire wheel then seal it all up again with fresh paint. Alternatively just use a knife to remove the bulk of the...

I was going to suggest you talk to Murray Coote (MCA suspension) but I see you found them on your own.

He does the suspension on Brumbyrunner's race car. You should talk to him about some long travel struts that do without your strut top blocks.

look up the king springs part numbers online - they are the same for liberty and outback from memory.

its the strut thats taller, not the spring. That said your factory springs will be sagged, and the kings will sit much taller

put KYB outback struts and standard height king springs in the thing. it will handle a million times better than it does now and sit taller. how much depends on how shagged your current suspension is.

I have a good low kms EJ22 i would sell for the right price. It has 168xxxkms on it and drove great when I last drove the car 3 months ago. I have found the early EJ22 motors to be great offroad (very torquey down low where you want it) and insanely reliable. I had planned to keep this motor as a sp...

guys just go to any hose supplier and get a brass screw in barb and a tap to suit. i think even supercheap sells them. take the diff cover off, tap the hole that the plastic breather is in (its the right size) and screw the brass fitting in with some thread sealant. tip that I only worked out the se...
