Outback suspension.

Hey guys might be a dumb as question however I'm wanting to know if you would be able to bolt gen 2 lib/outback rear end suspension under a gen 3?

Is there that much of a difference between models in regard to body attachment points?

Will.

New addition to the outback :)

This is just a test fit. Good photo though, you can barely see my gf behind the car stopping the tent sliding down onto the bonnet :P

Wouldn't have a clue? How many have been tested vigorously behind a H6? Eventually planning a big trip around aus and would much prefer piece of mind of a DCCD.

Have never come close to tracking one down either :(

Yeah I've been ignoring the same issue for a good 4 months hah. Yeah I think the easy way to go would have been the whole rear transfer case, bolt in mod. The output shaft that I have from my 99 lib has the splines in the right spot but needs a bearing surface near the bearing at the back of the cas...

The same problem with my Dccd!!! Looking closely I think my gen 3 output shaft can be machined slightly to accommodate a bearing and therefore hold the Dccd. Completely different to the forry box. Just have to save some funds to get someone to check it out.

I'm 100% sure the gen 3 wagon has 2 bolts on the rear shocks.

+1 for the belt bearings, replaced some on my car because they where making funny noises. Easy fix.

Depends on which mold you have for the mirror. There are two for the gen 3 out back (a smaller rounded one and a bigger squarer one) Will have to check which tail light I have also, only have one haha. Prefer to hold onto the garnish as they are probably the most common thing to go on the gen 3 era ...

If the car is green I have almost every panel plus a mint rear seat if it is a bit shabby :P.

Look for head gasket/overheating issues. And as usual have a good look through the service book make sure it is up to date.
