The good thing about the EJ20T conversion in the L.Series models, is there is no chassis mods required, so you could always keep the original motor setup for reversal (if anyone ever felt the need) but I'd be supremely surprised if anyone even noticed the difference. I too have way too many projects...

They came out in the 1996 to 2000 Impreza "Sportswagon" hatch with the EJ18 and EJ20 (both 1.8 and 2.0 non turbo versions). The EE20 would probably destroy the D/R box but if you treat it carefully, then I'd give it a go. You can also swap over to the diesel 6 speed later on (remembering the diesel ...

Cool, thanks Gannon. Saves me the trouble of unboxing mine.

Yeah Bennie, this looks exactly like my SPFI one. I also have a carby version but it looks similar, except were the throttle body or carby sits. I've taken a picture of the mock setup I'm planning for a later project.

If by icrap you mean Apple devices, then I don't like them either  Hi again Patrick :) well I knew this would happen. My friend has an issue with his 2017 Diesel Outback and guess what his phone is :( So, is there any difference in the setup? Or can I follow the same as what we did for my set...

Pretty sure it's a dual port manifold from an EJ18

I have one of these in a box somewhere, if you want a better pic of the manifold?

I have a mate who own a workshop and is having a very similar issue with a customers 02 Foz. He has done everything much like you have and is now thinking it might be an ECU or imobiliser issue Hey Gannon, get him to try a set of genuine HT leads. We put the old OEM ones back on and the issues are ...

Sorry, was writing my last post before I read your post but will reply to your suggestions. Does the car have an air flow meter? I've done a few on Suby's. Given the cars 15 years old, even just cleaning it may work: But make sure you only use air flow meter cleaner. No AFM on this model but we did ...

After more research on toonga's favorite website.. google.. I found someone had similar issues and even mentioned that all their troubles started after they had blown head gaskets. They found that after they repaired their head gaskets, the air/fuel sensor was damaged (they suspect water damage) and...

I have never tried or heard anyone trying to disconnect the immobilizer whilst the engine is running but could be worth a try. My experience with Subaru factory immobilizer units is that if they aren't connected, the ECU will not allow the injectors to pulse and if you have the wrong coded key, then...

Would never post info from a wreckers page.. asking for trouble there.

And I wouldn't have posted the ratio if it wasn't correct

Funny you mention this Gannon, I read something last week about someone having to replace their ECU because they couldn't fix their U0030 fault code. I would like to do this if it guaranteed to fix our issue because I cannot return an ECU if we use it and it doesn't fix the issue. However you also m...

2002 SG9 Forester Power Issue

Hi all, Needing some ideas on what can be going on with my dad's foz. It's a late 02 2.5 NA model with auto trans and standard trim. The trouble we are having is the engine losses power under load and feels like there is a slight miss (like a fouled plug) when at idle. Below is a list of what we hav...

Sorry to hear that happened to you. Yes torque keeps running if it is just minimised/home-buttoned. Sometimes it keeps communicating (OK) or sometimes it suspends comms (not OK as might try to relatch at the wrong speed)...I think. It might have to do with logging, only keeping communicating if log...
