So often when people say they have a funny noise or oil pressure problems they've fitted an aftermarket oil filter. I've had an issue myself, horrible big end noise on start up. Switched to a genuine filter & it immediately stopped! So, I would check all your hoses as Nubaru said & put on a genuine ...

I'm wary of stop leak stuff as I've heard it clogs up the radiator. Mine is a nice new all alloy radiator & I want to keep it nice & shiny on the inside for the new engine. One thing I've wondered is if it reacts with coolant, in particular Subaru coolant which is a bit finnicky. Maybe if I flush ou...

I'm putting in a ej22 engine hopefully very soon, does anyone know if there's anything I can do to stop or slow the leak till I get the new engine in?

I don't know about the older AWD Subies like the Vortex, but the Forester, Lib/OB, etc has: manual: viscous centre diff 40/60 - 60/40 fr/rr auto: MPT pack centre 90/10 - 50/50 fr/rr The manual is constantly varying torque, the auto only varies when the front loses grip. I'm not so sure how the bette...

Finally, SubaXtreme are ditching their useless cast alloy sump guard and using plate alloy. Took waaay too long!

AndrewT, yours could be the tailshaft centre bearing. Mine had that at certain speeds, esp around 80-100kmh. It got worse when I put my first lift kit in. I noticed the tailshaft wasn't straight at the bearing so I shortened the blocks by 10mm. Still there but better. Mine also has that "ping" as th...

Yep, sure do. SF & SG Foz need different blocks for the front as the bolts are at a different angle but the rears are interchangeable. Struts top spacers are $350/set incl new HT ZP locking nuts/bolts and rear trailing arm blocks are $90 incl new HT ZP bolts. All parts are precision laser cut for ea...

2" Lift Kit

Just realised I haven't done a thread on the lift kits I make, so.... Lifting your Foz doesn't just give more clearance so you can do harder tracks, it also keeps you further away from rocks, etc so you're less likely to damage underneath. No-one wants damage lol  There's a few options to lift ...
