Chubby37 you are half way right, if you are using VHF SSB (single side band) it will got better range than UHF, however the longer range varies greatly. Just for your information CB (Citizen Band i.e stuff you don't need a licence for, buy off the self at dick smiths, etc) use 40 channels whether UH...

I would have to disagree, it does work, or has for me for about nearly 2 years of use. To clarify i was talking about tac welding the "shifting fork attaches to the rod sticking out of trannie". I do agree with if it was done wrong it could stuff up the shaft/seal/fork. I am not saying you must do i...

You can also drop a tac weld on the shaft carefully. Another trick is to grab some second hand bushes from the wreckers and double them up where posible. ie. two bushes where one use to be. Makes the shifter a lot stiffer, even less slack.

Has anyone made a snorkel for Brumby/MY? How hard is it? I haven't been able to find them aftermarket, or does anyone know where i can get one from? Also does anyone have some photos of one on a MY/Brumby?

First step short out the Green and Black wire to a good earth on the body. If the lights (inside/dash) came on, the problem is on the earth side. To fix this follow the earth back clean the conact and reconnect. Also check the wire for continuity of the wire If the lights (inside/dash) Don't came on...

Adding to what dave has said, is the light on the dash coming up? If not in the dash assembly there is a diode (for each door) which could have gone open circut. It could also be the wiring to the dash or dirty connection which would cause this problem.

Sorry to hijack the post Malc but how hard is it to convert tank sizes? Because an extra 15L sounds good to me.

Have you tried a Tie Rod Removal Tool? Just like a big fork with a increasing angle you stick between the hub and tie rod and belt away.
