Thanks for the answers there guys, might leave it alone to avoid butchering the console any. Will see if I can figure out how to make it have an auxiliary input somehow, think I saw someone has done that before.
Now that I've got the stuck tape out its all working again, nice to have some tunes going.

Hey mate,
Luv the look of those White Subaru wheels, knew you would find some locally. Heaps easier than trying to ship 2 sets of wheels across the country. They are what I ended up using on mine too in the end. Good ya got the centre caps with them as well.

A question about my Clarion radio cassette & speakers

Hey all was just wondering if any of you Subie gurus out there could tell me if these radios were possibly a dealer fitted thing. I had to pull mine out to get a tape jammed in it out & was suprised to see a sticker on the base of the radio which read Subparts with a number on it. I had just assumed...

Some more thing I've done to my Brumby

Thought I'd show ya some pics of the few other things I've done since I got my Brumby. the paint on the back side of the bullbar to stop the glare from ya lights was looking real shabby. So I rubbed it back masked it up & resprayed it with self priming gloss black epoxy spraycan. http://img6.imagesh...

Ok - so could this filter be the vapour separator? Easiest way to tell is that fuel filter should be small white & plastic & look very similar to the one you changed in the rear, the vapor separator is black. My 1991 Brumby has 2 as well, so fair chance your car might. Don't feel stupid asking a qu...

G'day there, Yeah you are following the fuel line, the thing you're describing up in the corner is the fuel filter. I would recommend getting a new one & fitting it for a start. Sometimes they get left to long & become blocked. The electric fuel pump in a Subaru like yours works at a low pressure so...

You can get the BRAT stickers from the guy in this link - it's an old one that Sven 2 has found again, so I've linked you to that thread for reference. I personally think the brat thing is an american thing, all you would need is a classic 80's pinstripe and you'd be sorted! But it's not my brumby ...

Very original Brat in the States

Thought you guys might like this ad I stumbled while seeing if I could find some Brat Jump seats for my Brumby. Toying with the idea of making it into a Brat so to speak, badge on tailgate targa stripes & rear seats. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&listingId=102811836&aff=o...

Another Jake with a white Brumby!

Hey all Jake here, Just realised I hadn't introduced myself in here yet. I live in Tylden in central Vic, that is when I'm not away in the truck, which is a lot. Used to be a mechanic for 7 years before the truck driving so now my way around cars a bit. I have a wife & 2 young daughters at home wait...

I recently bought brand new king wheels from my local tyre joint in 4x140 pcd 14x6 inch, would swap ya for those 17s if we can arrange freight. Tyres are 1000km old made in china jobs in 185 65 r 14 size. Check out my pics of my ute to see how they look. The 14s are on it in a couple of pics.

Yes there was a restrictor glued into the aircleaner housing, had to get a new one from the wreckers in Harcourt. That part is like the control for the gas air mixture. Removing this made a hugely noticeable difference to the power output. Goes to show how much a dual fuel setup is no good. Straight ...
