I'm currently using 3d modeller and layout on the mac's at uni. I'm itching to make a model of my subi and do a 360 view of it but have to work on my folio first :(

and i've thought about making a 3d wheel carrier too - but you beat me to that one ;)

Cheers

You didn't happen to fit an oil soaked pod filter did you? it only takes about a day to coat the hotwire in oil and screw it up. Nah, still running the standard paper air filter. But i did clean the AFM with some carbie cleaner - i read some where on here its the best way to clean them. The last (d...

mine are flat top in my EA81 , but did you compare gudgeon pin to top as being the same on the 82 ? I have not, so don't know, but it is a consideration I'm running flat top pistons in my EA82 MPFI, on the side of the box it said EA71 from memory, i'll check it up tomorrow. The pistons looked the s...

Thanks Matatak, Its just a standard MPFI but the problem has arisen again. And i think it went better with the other injectors in it. I'm now starting to look at fuel filter when funds permit, if its not that next will be the fuel pump as it has been making funny noises since the rebuilt engine was ...

With the end of semester approaching and job searching, i'm going to be pretty flat out.

hehehe... Merry Christmas!

I take it the auto doesn't matter? - did you buy it purposly as an auto or are you just after the engine and loom?

Looks good either way, it'll look better in the L ;) Have fun.

AlpineRaven, this might help you out, its located here , there's a lot of other talk going on and it's pretty messy, but you should get the idea of the change. Otherwise do a search of it. Notes on pics (to fill the gaps incase you don't already know) The dedent is the part that the EJ boxes use for...

As far as the 4 plug types, the NA ecu should run fine with a turbo motor, just bypass the vac lines to the WGDS. No one actually knows if there is a difference in the fuel maps, the only way to find out would be to throw it on a dyno and compare A/F ratios and hp output between the two. I am using...

From what i have read, the NA ecu is different to the turbo one. They will both plug in and run the car, but the turbo one has a built in knock sensor, wastegate controller and apparently different fuel/spark maps. I will be getting mine going soon so i will find out So how'd they do the 3 plug to ...

easiest way to me does look like pulling the diff out. I think it would be an eaiser job if the diff was dropped out, maybe not all the way out but enough to make access easier for the removal of the tank would be the way to go (IMHO).

I was always under the impression that the gear ratios (1st to 5th) were the same regardless if it’s a 3.7 or 3.9 part time 4WD Box. I will have a look at my FSM when I get home..... If this is true, does it mean that an L series with the 3.9 diff will travel at 100kmph with the revs at (for exampl...

BYB bbq - roughly when will it be?

Hey all. I'd like to plan to head up to the BYB bbq this year but need to know when it will roughly be so i can plan "flexible" activities around this event. Also need to start saving for the trip. Even if its just an answer like December or Early December etc. Looking forward to it already ;) Cheers

I thought people got a piece of garden hose or the like and cable tied that to the dipstick pole, taking the tube up high - into the cabin up the A pillar arm into the ceiling if you want (maybe a little extreme)...

But if there's a "proper job" out there i'd like to have a gander too.

Cheers

Apparently you can get the 4.11 bits out of an early JDM and fit them to the lib box to get 4.11 with 1.59 reduction. That would be very nice. I've been thinking about doing the same just reciently. Why not just get the forester box, chang the low range over and stick that in. I realise if your run...

How easy is it to find a Liberty dual range in good condition? Also, I'm assuming the Forester box is 4.11 rather than 3.9? I'm with you here PJ. I too want to know what the diff ratio is in the forester box -> 3.9 or 4.11... It would be real handy if it was 3.9, but knowing my luck this won't be t...
