the main advantage is brass button will break your gbox nice and quick. stick to a normal clutch. brass button are really only for snapping gears hard. Terrible for everyday driving and a pain in the arse. youll get sick of it quick . Oh Alex, That is just sooooo subtle :-D but I do agree with the ...

Brumby rear suspension - Do tyres/wheels have lateral movement to front or rear
having a little scraping on one of the rear guards with the large rims and tyres, on the occasional spoon drain when turning right, not enough to show (shiny !!) on the metal as yet, just a short sudden creak and panel crunch :(. so to reduce the amount of additional guard cutting, I need to know ho...

my "new" Brumby - good job by Subaweck:SA AND Rising Sun
Paul at Subareck in SA has just finished putting me back into a brumby. After my original Beige 1990 one had been written off in April by a blonde in a BMW. He had bought the resultant wreck at the local auction. It had 5 speed (EXTREMELY noisy), rear disks , aircon, power steer and an Alarm w remo...

Does AndrewT exist ?
So, does AndrewT exist ? this is , of course a nonsensical existential rhetorical question , of course he exists - otherwise I would not have sent 3 pms to him to buy his turbo RX instrument cluster, and put 3 ( or was it 4 - or does it even matter ?? ) posts on the for sale thread over the last wee...

calling - Giles from Halifax
Hi From Halifax UK. Each fixing has to be raised by 15mm the rear outer by 20mm to compensate the extra width of the forester seat in relation to the transmission tunnel. The smart plastic side finisher on the forester seat should then sit just on top and on the edge of the original Brumby sill cov...

Best box for Brumby ej20 conversion if intending to do 4WDing ?
Not wanting to hijack the thread here, but I am also going to get a EJ20 inserted into my '90 brumby, the question I have in common with the first post re the "best" gearbox to use - is there any difference in gearbox preference between using the final vehicle for mainly tarmac or Off-road use. Spec...

good supplier of recond EA82 5-speed ?
My '90 brumby had a s/h EA82 G/box put into it for the previous owner in Feb 08 by Suba Bits of Clayton ( got the receipt !). The previous owner said it was actually the second one that he had put in as the first one was too noisy and he had them put in another. Unfortunately last week it (apparentl...
