All these people taking "Libertys" with the "Legacy" of Subaru...

I myself, as quite a sensible person for someone with several diagnosed mental illnesses, will be staying "Loyale" to my Leone beastie... I've driven lots of cars, and this one fits me like a glove.

You need to buy a tin of fresh sparks...

Or...

Check that you have power to the coil when the ignition is on.

A couple of clearer photos of the bar corner as it has now shaped up. Hopefully I can get the other side to look half as good...

Getting to the point of being able to see the final form. Then quickly replicate for the other side. I'm pretty pleased with the design, especially considering it's just made up as I go along... http://a.imageshack.us/img90/5797/bar1km.jpg http://a.imageshack.us/img90/293/bar2x.jpg http://a.imagesha...

Getting your head around it is the biggest part of the job really. Once you've made the decision and make a start, you'll find it can actually be fun, and it's certainly a lot easier removing all damaged bits before stitching in the new piece, rather that trying to attach the patch to the unsound ru...

See here's the thing... Bog is not your friend. Most people tend to think bog is their best buddy for helping cover some serious sins. When (not "if" these days) you are in an accident, bog shows its true colours. It normally looks pink, but it's as yellow as you can get. You're not going to survive...

Hey Chris, not so easy as people think to wind an odometer back... Actually, "winding" isn't the way to do it anyway, that's an old wives tale. If you want it reset to zero, we can do that, but the milage will be recorded on the side of the casing beforehand (to negate legal issues and for honesty's...

How to turn "any old car" into a Subaru...

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's done this, but here's the story... My wife has an '83 Ford Telstar (Mazda 626) sedan that has been progressively dying in various ways. Everything is so arze about with the inside out carby, back to front polution control system, and so many "compensatory devices"...

Nah mate, a pair of spritely sparrows could carry it "on wing"... It won't be real heavy at all, as it's really just there to scare away potential accidents. It'll do it's job.

The icing is on the cake now... Just the decorating and candles to do now.

Under the gloopy looking gelcoat the plug is actually nice and smooth.

Yeah, good point Sven... I've remedied many a sickness in cars "serviced" by the mainstream shops. Don't let them try telling you it's a fault that's only shown up because they fixed other faults that were masking the newly found flat spot, and therefore it will cost you even more to have them "fix ...

Maybe everyone should carry a "special tool" to "adjust" the attitude of the dipsh!t that cuts up the curbside, stops in front of you, then jumps out with his mate and sticks his head in your window to tell you he's going to put you in hospital for not getting out of his way when he was trying to do...

Nothing mysterious. Basic old 4mm (8mm long, or so) metal screw. Pull a couple out of somewhere else on the car where they're not needed, or pop down to the local "industrial supplies" mob, Dick Smith store, wrecker... If you can't find any in the next day or two, PM me with your address and I'll po...

Take the wiper valance off (bit between windscreen and bonnet, held down by 5 screws), and undo the small pivot bolt. It's most likely hidden under some sealing compound, but it's there. The hinge looks like a big hook when it's out and is easily replaced. I suspect though, it's more likely your bon...

When driving on the beach, keep to the sand... Stay away from the water and don't drive over vegetation. I've found from personal experience that cars don't drive too well in the ocean (aquaplaning was the least of my concerns at the time). And yes, the tide will get you if you don't watch and respe...

The main difficulties in extending the floorpan, is that the car has to be classed as a new vehicle and has to comply with current low volume production rulings, AND you have increased wheelbase meaning bigger turning circle, longer tail shaft, very little rampover angle (clearance in the middle whe...
