That photo looks like there is a double spline like the lhs shaft of a subaru viscus lsd. Does the diff have the same spline setup on the other side. You may just need the double spline doj found on a viscus lsd as they are different.

I have a aultronic ecu, they are very good and ofter compared to motec but for half the price.
They also have plug and play for some subarus.
If you are going to put in a newer ej25 later look for something that has variable camshaft control, aultronic sm4 has this.

auto or manual? if it is auto you can just put in a fuse that makes if fwd. Autos generally have 100% drive to the front anyway and the rear is drivin by a clutch.
