i have a few theories, they may not be accurate but i think they apply to me, i have a custom 1.75" equal length Y pipe that goes into a 2 inch straight through system, a hot dog & a turbo muffler at the back 1. Could it be that because the exhaust flows more freely, you are more inclined to rev it ...

So how much boost are you running with the NA ecu?
and are you using turbo pistons or NA ones?

Have you checked your negative grounds (earths), this sometimes causes erratic tacho movement.

Check your grounding straps between the engine, the body and the electrical harness for corrosion or anything that looks like it would interfere in the electrical connection

I looked around the other day and rolas were $230 from repco
Its a bit steep for me

Super Cheap had Pro Rack and they were pretty much the same price

The XT6 had a 90A alternator (but i doubt you will find one of those, they were never sold in Aust)

I like the idea of being able to put liberty or impreza wheels on my soob and if parts are easy enough to come by, it would be a lot easier than re-drilling and machining our hubs to fit other wheels. it is quite a simple mod, as outlined o...

But i am also interested in imported parts...... XT6 hubs, the 5x100 stud pattern that will bolt onto the L series

That would make finding wheels to fit our soobs a lot easier

I.E..... A bolt on modification

Phininza did a photochop of a blue wrx to make a ute, it was awesome

My girlfriends little brother (15yo) found a picture on boostcruising.com of a impreza in which a guy modified into a ute. That is pretty impessive

If i say, converted my current motor to turbo, (changed the heads but kept the block) and thus the engine no. stayed the same as the rego papers. would i still need to get an engineers cert?
