Oh yeah, towing the boat in the patrol, going up hill in a 50km/h zone, would maintain 50 at 30-50% throttle in 4th gear, at something like 1800rpm!

I have a '03H6 and I find it lacking in the torque department also. Of course, hit 4k and it is like it comes on boost and flies. To compare I have driven a 3.5L v6 magna some 30,000k's and it had torque, bucketloads of it. I have just bought a 2.8L patrol, known for being a slug but sitting on the ...

If you fix it you'll just worry about it next time you want to go offroad. I scratched up my outback rear bar bad enough that it looked real bad and I paid $350 to get it cleaned up and resprayed. The front bar is scratched and cracked and doesn't fit right after I half tore it off on a track, but n...

Also whats wrong with the 3L Ben - the one in my old man's Navara is tops. Navara runs a conventional wastegate setup and the patrol runs a variable nozzle control system, the maf and egr control boost via the ecu and it isn't uncommon to see boost in the 20's on a Patrol ZD30 (15psi on a Navara), ...

well....i like it ;) they are the 3.0TD's arent they Nah, no way I was touching the ZD30 timebomb! It's the old skool RD28 6 cylinder diesel with a paltry 95kw/252nm, does alright lugging 2300kg of truck around though. About the same as the brumby for get up and go. Anyone asking the 'why' question...

http://images.benandmichelle.net/albums/userpics/IMGP7945_%28Medium%29.JPG Had it bogged to the sills on Stockton already. BTW Stockton is a cut up bitch of a place right now! The dunes weren't bad I got stuck going a little too close to a drift drop off and the turbo diesel didn't have the herbs t...

Do it, use the smallest turbo you can find (maybe a sherpa 658cc engine one?) no more than 6psi boost and see what happens!

If it is registered, technically it is 'parked' but if it is 'abandoned' ie, plates and other identifiers have been removed then just contact your council about claiming it. Then you just have to pay a tow truck driver to go get it

Fair call - Towbar rating. Hayman Reese list a 1600/160 for the H6 but it is $788 compared to the 1400/90 at $373. Guess that's why the original owner ticked the 'woosy' towbar option for mine.... Do they perform well? The H6 loves it, like there is nothing there. Certainly notice it when you get 20...
