As far a I know you will have to go genuine if you want self levelling struts. Otherwise after market will be just as sufficient and doesn't require and other mods to change from self levelling struts.

you will get away with just replacing both rear, as usually if one is stuffed the other isnt too far off!

as for brands KYB is the most popular with people on the forum.
ive used monroe shocks which are good also

ive tried ultima and know a few people who have, they handel well and have lasted just as long as other brands ive used.
they are a direct copy of the monroe shocks so for the price they are good

all depends on what you want to do with the 4by.
if tough and durability is your game then they don't come much tougher than a 60 series.
BUT for the occasional 4by and a more comfy ride go the brumby

I was looking the other day and I don't think the front sg struts fit the sf bacuase were the fuel line attaches is very different. Would have to make a little bracket if you wanted them all neat

i was careful with the river crossing it wasn't too high but if it was any higher i would not of crossed. it was about level with the top of my front bumper
