na they run off a power supply from the main module, if you dont wanna disconect the battery you can just take it to the dealer and get them to clear the code with the SSMII (Subaru Select Monitor 2)

Dude your lucky i didnt end up finishing the sterio in my brumby lol, 2 12" eclipse and 2 10" V-nets plus 6x9's and 6" splits in the doors, didnt finish it cos it was going to be too much hassle to fit the amps on the roof lol

Yea its a pain in the a55 but subaru wont give out master codes to any one as a security measure, the keypad modules in thoes things(WRX i asume) are a pos, infact the whole system is a pos cos its not a genuine factory fitted system, its fitted when they get into the country, and is made by a compa...
