Dccd
The dual range is in the front of the box so seperate to the rear housing. You will need the complete rear housing off a DCCD box and I am not sure if this is a direct bolt on to the newer boxes. It will fit Gen 1 Liberty dual range as that is what I have in my H6. Makes a great box for both on and ...

Box options
#1 Is to use a Standard EJ 3.9 D/R AWD box and drop in the diff lock from the S/R FT4wd and use the 1.59 low range from D/R PT. This would eliminate the need of the adaptor plate. (Similar to yours I think only using a gen1 or gen2 Lib box that already have the 3.9 ratio. Not sure but one has 3.7 a...

You will need a 3 inch lift and will still have rubbing issues. I had 28's (215/70/16) on a 3 inch lifted Gen 2 which just rubbed on the rear chassis rail. I suspect the 235's will be very close to rubbing on the bottom of the spring plate of the rear strut. There are plenty of good tyres in the 28 ...

Dccd
I got the DCCD setup working today after sorting out the wiring for the factory controller. I have mounted the thumbwheel near the dual range lever and at half lock you can start to feel the centre tightening up noticeably. At full lock it is like an L series in 4wd, binds up on sharp turns so a def...

Yes I will keep everyone posted about how the DCCD copes offroad and yes RSR 555 I have had 2 TT conversions in the past, the last one I changed back to single. I wouldn't bother with a TT again they are a bit too tempramental, I now get my turbo fix with the wifes WRX which I have fitted with VF28,...

Gen 3 H6 Lifted Outback
I have had this car in relatively standard form for 2 years now. It was converted to dual range manual early on as the Auto didn't maximise the driveability of the nice smooth H6. This gearbox started having issues and wouldn't stay in high range so while swapping to another box I decided to go all ...

I have an 03 H6 Outback and has just clicked over 110 000k, I was contemplating an upgrade but decided that the current car does eveything a new one will. As a result I am giving it a good overhaul and replacing the rocker cover seals which are the main cause of oil leaks. I have also fitted a manua...

Tyres
I have the same tyres on my standard Gen 3 OB,they only rub at the back on full compression with a heavy load in the car and then only just. I am about to fit raised king springs which should eliminate this. They will put the speedo out by around 10%, but are a great tyre on gravel.

relay
The other way is to earth the relay for the driving lights through the earth wire for the headlights as the modern lights are earth switching. In earlier models the relay is earthed to the body but as you say this results in the lights on wheneverything else is off in the newer ones.

Someone save a MY coupe from the wreckers
There is an immaculate '84 2 door MY coupe at Churchill Park Partworld in Launceston. Looks like the classic one owner etc etc. No rust, runs, auto FWD, somone should get this before it is pulled to bits for Brumby parts, and do a neat EJ AWD conversion. I would except I have one allready.

They were made as I have one on my coupe. Black plastic from Aunger as suggested. I got mine from a wrecker that was about to crush a coupe.

H6 Manual
Will Pm the number, happy to talk to him about it. I think the RX dual range boxes are allready 4.11 and are geared reasonably short from 1 to 4 and mine shows just under 3000rpm at 110 so they should be Ok with bigger tyres. Just to add to the info on this, it is unlikley that this will be possible...

Not the only one of these, here is mine http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e292/legacytt/Leone002.jpg Has EJ22, AWD Liberty GB, plated LSD, 5 Stud conversion, RS Liberty brakes, Forester rims and 28in BFG at's. The approach/departure angles on them are great for offroad, similar to your hatch no doubt.

Not many of these around now and even fewer lifted. I have had this for a few years and I saved it from a wrecker as an ea81 auto. First mod session was to fit EJ18, lib AWD box and wagon 4wd rear end and do the 5 stud conversion. As seen below http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e292/legacytt/coupeFR...

G'day Seagul, yes I have a dual range in mine not a turbo box. Works well. As to the question of which models, Just the standard H6 rather than the limited, so they have cloth interior and no sunroof. You can pick them as the one with VDC have a on/off switch for the VDC on the consiole near the aut...

H6 Manual
They are 8 bolt so I put a box from a similar era RX Liberty in. They didn't do manuals in the earlier ones as they were all in Outbacks and Subaru doesn't trust their dual range box behind anything with power. You can buy the Gen 4 3.0RB with manual 6 speed now. I nearly bought one of these but nee...
