Well the man says quite a few valves were leaking.

Hes reconditioning both heads/valves

600 dollars for both

i have just finished putting in a ej20 out of a rs turbo into my gx wagon liberty
Swap the entire loom out and its extremely easy.

Only reason you would have issues is if you needed to use the old loom, or old Ecu ( which just makes things harder )

I would of made it through the sand...hammond has a light foot !!

Ok engine is out Heads are off The cylninder that was giving low compression looks all ok, piston looks ok, no scoring or anything. All the "hard" work is done which puts my mind at ease a little.

If i need to take the engine out again im not to fussed as ive done all the wiring and test it all and all works

Ok sounds good.

Should be able to get to timing area with radiator out but engine in?

No never touched it, that said the previous owner could have.

Once i get it out ill do Head gasket/timing belt
Is it easy to see what the issue is once i take the head off?

Setback :( To be expected, nothing goes smoothly lol! I should of compression tested before the engine went in ...but hey...it happens. So anyway i took it for a drive and it lacked on power, sounded ok, but lacked power. Took each spark out 1 by one until the back right plug made barley any differe...

Got my turbo gaske.

Wiring is proving to be a bit more of a hassle than initially thought.

I believe i have spare plugs for ABS, and some other things. ( that i dont have )

True, but im pretty sure i could get a engine itself for the same price as a timing belt kit :P

Engine has done low k's so not needed for a while a believe.
That and ive been spending money on the skyline!! lol so cant afford it
