I hope you guys have remembered that when you go round a corner all 4 wheels are spinning at different revs & your programming will have to take that into account. the tighter the turn, the greater the difference. How are you going to stop/slow the wheel that's spinning too fast? retarding the timin...

I think it was only coz I'd played pool at that pub at least 4 nights in the 2 weeks I'd been there, more pool than I'd played in about 2 years.

And next time I'll try to give more notice & arrange to have a weekend free to go 4wding

For those who are coming, I'm sure you know each other, but I'm a short blond guy with glasses & will probably be hanging around the pool table pretending to be a shark

Yeah, but the news articles don't tell you the behind the scenes info. To turn the Focus into a 4wd wouldn't be too difficult I believe. The Escort Cosworths were a north-south engined care while the rest of the Mark V Escorts were east-west. I think the Focus WRC car is east west (but don't quote m...

The Aussie car class wasn't well patronised this year though....
Mainly coz the 4wd Magnas romped everything in last year I reckon

Toyota alludes to that every year. I don't think its an issue (I know someone very high up in their PR department) What's wrong with RWD? It might be great to watch to a point, but in real life they're slow point to point & there's nothing else in the same class (except for some S14 Silvia from SA w...

No, its RWD. Apparently, the Ford motorsport person involved had something to do with the Escorts from the 70s & wanted to recapture those days.

88 WRX (defunct) Touring Wagon Project (updated 25/11/09), now EA82 EFI

I'll get some pix up when I get home again, but basically the gist is this: Achieved so far: 88 Touring wagon rolling shell bought 87 EJ20T RX Turbo sedan bought both stripped to within an inch of their lives (actually the sedan has been stripped way beyond that & is now officially dead) JDM 4.11 ge...

Atkinson just misses out on Podium

Chris Atkinson missed out on a podium finish at Rally Australia by only 6 seconds. It happened after Colin McRae had clutch problems this morning & the service crew had to pull out the Skoda Fabia's gearbox & clutch & reassemble it during a 20 minute service this morning. IT was an awesome sight to ...

Toyota aren't pulling out. They certainly won't after the biggest thing that's stopped them from winning is leaving & they're getting they're act together. Hopefully someone at Ford wakes up to themselves & builds a proper new rally Focus (ie turbo 4wd) instead of being stuck in the 70s with their N...

AS I'm in Perth for the first time at the moment (mainly to see Rally Australia cos I thought it'd be the last time here....), I just hope they continue to put the effort in for next year & I hope that someone over east has picked up the ball to run it. It'd be a shame to lose the event because no o...
