How did you go at resolving the issue? A few points from my experience. - Best place for the thermo fans is between the radiator and engine, sucking (It even says this in the Davies Craig booklets). That way the fans themselves don't block ambient airflow (the electric motor bit in the middle - air ...

Yes that's not good that whoever installed the lift kit didn't notice that. Certainly would have caused cracks to come on prematurely...although bear in mind the hoses would probably be very old already anyway - you should be able to move them around and stretch them without them cracking, but of co...

I wonder if there was something done wrong in the install somehow.
I installed sealed bearings once - once.

(and again on a different car, no issues with that one either).

besides the order in which you bleed each corner, what is your specific method for bleeding? In other words, what do you do in regards to the order of pumping the pedal? releasing pedal? depressing it just once fully? when do you loosen / tighten the bleed nipples? Are you using a "one man bleeder"?...

Yeah it was easy to make one, no template required- your actual engine and gearbox make the most accurate template. Only basic tools required.

Kindof. The Nissan ones (which suit ARB Air lockers) are mostly like this I believe: http://www.4x4parts.com/images/F118372536.jpg I think the retro-fit would be a bit extreme to get this going in the rear of a Suby. I have the parts and plan I need to make this work (I think): - Late model IFS rear...

I have been as far as getting a nissan irs R200 diff on the workbench at ARB and looking at an ARB air locking centre with the ARB mechanics. It doesn't work. The input splines work, but the stub axels have no chance of working, the circlip setups are all wrong. Would need completely custom stub axe...

Well it's hard to draw a line on what can be defined as "finished" but it's definitely not yet. It does run and drive now, just very badly - it needs a full dyno and street tune, and before that it needs a full new exhaust made up. Both of those things add up to a decent wad of cash and I actually n...

Towing an empty car trailer would be pushing the limits of safety...most are around 700+kg. Put a car on that and you'd be over 1600kg. Towing a load that far exceeds the weight of your actual car (whether it's braked or not) is a recipe for disaster. You can make it from A to B but if something une...

Can't remember exactly why the EJ clutch and flywheel can't be used, but from memory it can't. Probably to do with the EA starter motor throwout. General rule of thumb is that you must match the clutch/pressureplate/flywheel setup to the gearbox. In this case all EA. Best to get a "heavy duty" EA pr...

Sounds like it's a case of figuring out how to mount the handbrake shoes, and various levers / springs onto the backing plates and make sure the shoes are in the correct location to sit within the "drums" (part of the rear disks). I assume there are liberty backing plates in there? With the cr0ssbre...

Did it never have a handbrake installed? That car would be running Liberty style rear handbrake drums I beleive. It would need the Liberty handbrake cables run up to the tranny tunnel and put through two drilled holes. Would also need a Liberty handbrake lever custom mounted. I thought Guyph did all...

I fitted an early ra sti wrx dccd centre (from a 4 bolt geaebox) to an 8 bolt SF forester gearbox recently. Works fine - I swapped the whole centre diff and housing over, just to keep the dccd housing with holes already in it for the wires.
